Neptune Thunder, Season 4, Episode 1

On February 14 & 15 2012, the Force Commander Reserve (FCR) was involved in the now usual joint artillery exercise  held in conjunction between the UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) in Naqoura.

Part of the FCR and several other UNIFIL units participated in this exercise among which the ITALBATT 8th Regiment “Lancieri di Montebello” and the INDOBATT Task Force (Indo FPC) XXVI-D2.

CAESAR guns, VBCI IFVs and B1 Centauro tank destroyers of the FCR have been involved in this particular fire exercise, alongside M 113 APCs of the Lebanese Army 8th Mechanized Brigade.

The FCR  also deployed a COBRA counter battery radar and a NC1-40 radar as well as two Mistral Surface-to-air missile units to provide aerial coverage of the shooting range.

UNIFIL and LAF units trained to carry out more than 90  joint artillery shots on targets at sea.
