Beirut Model Show 2012

If you are in Lebanon or around don’t miss the Beirut Model Show held on the 28th and 29th of April at Beirut’s Downtown. The show is organized by Elite Group Lebanon with the collaboration of SteelMasters magazine contributor Emilien Pépin. The latest techniques of airbrush painting, weathering and other modelling skills will be presented at the show by ‘El Diablo’ Emilien Pépin himself. The show will also include a model competition with notorious people in the judging jury such as Gilles Pfeiffer from Blast Models and Samer Kassis from Elite Group Lebanon.

Scale Modelling Day at Blast Models Paris: Emilien Pépin at work (2)

On February 11, 2012, Blast Models in Paris held a second scale modelling day animated by SteelMasters magazine contributor Emilien Pépin. The artist made a full demoof the hairspray painting techniques and answered as usual to the F.A.Q. to all modelers who assisted the gathering.

Maghaweer M1151A1 in Scale (WIP)

Here is the 1/35 scale replica of the Lebanese Army Commandos (Maghaweer) Regiment still in progress. The model (Work in Progress) is based on the Academy’s M1151 kit adding to it the GPK turret from Bronco’s M1114 kit and an M113 MG shield. Paints used are Humbrol, Tamiya and Mr. Hobby. Reference photos are from Elite Group Lebanon.

Scale Modelling Day at Blast Models Paris: Emilien Pépin at work

Blast Models organized yesterday in its premises in Paris a scale modelling day animated by the famous contributor to SteelMasters magazine Emilien Pépin. The artist made a full painting techniques demo emphasizing on the weathering of vehicles and answering at the same time to a large quantity of questions asked by modelers gathered around him.

AIFV Live and in Scale

The Kit is based on the AFV Club's 1/35 YPR-765 SFOR, the most appropriate version of this model to convert it into a Lebanese Army AIFV-B-C25

 

Paints used are from Tamiya and Humbrol.

 

Weathered and filtered with Winsor & Newton and 502 Abteilung oil colours.
