3dayseh Tree

“3dayseh Tree” is the name of a Lebanese Armed Forces maneuvers carried out today, September 27, by the Lebanese Airborne (Moujawkal) Regiment in conjunction with the Lebanese Air Force. The military exercise was held in Wata elJoz/Kesserwan district, its objectives was the libartion of a supposed occupied village by hostile forces.

Rumbling Wave

“Rumbling Wave” is the name of a Lebanese Armed Forces maneuver carried out by the Lebanese Navy on the shores of Jounieh/Maameltein on the 21st of September 2011. The drill was held in conjunction with units from the Air Force and some Army brigades and regiments, as well as units of the General Security, the Customs, the Directorate of road and maritime transport, the Civil Defense and the Lebanese Red Cross Foundation.

The exercise aims was the training for the interception of a supposed terrorist group proceeding in the cut off the main coastal highway and detaining hostages, the exercise also included a raid on suspect vessels in territorial waters.

Maghaweer M1151

Scale Modelling Day at Blast Models Paris: Emilien Pépin at work

Blast Models organized yesterday in its premises in Paris a scale modelling day animated by the famous contributor to SteelMasters magazine Emilien Pépin. The artist made a full painting techniques demo emphasizing on the weathering of vehicles and answering at the same time to a large quantity of questions asked by modelers gathered around him.

Live-Fire Exercise in Aqoura for the Maghaweer Regiment (1)

A live-fire exercise in the Aqoura region was set yesterday by the Commando (Maghaweer) Regiment in conjunction with other units such as the 6th Mechanized Brigade, the 2nd Artillery Regiment, the Anti-Tank Battalion, the Engineer Regiment and the Air Force.

Several vehicles and aircraft were used in that exercise among them the T-55, T-55 w/KMT, M113, M113 w/ZPU-2, M113 w/ZPU-4, M825, BM-21 on Ural and M35 trucks, M998, M998 Command, M292, VAB,  M1151, Gazelle and Huey helicopters.

Note that this exercise witnessed the first usage of the new M1151 HMMWV by the Maghaweer Regiment.
